BASIC FUNCTION:
 
We are a high-growth leader in confection and dietary supplement manufacturing, specializing in enhanced confection & nutraceutical delivery systems. With three state-of-the-art facilities located across the U.S, we produce for some of the largest US retailers as well as under branded confection product lines.
 
The senior financial analyst is a highly visible and impactful role in the organization helping to analyze, interpret, communicate, monitor, predict and drive business results. This individual will help lead the organization in the company's new product costing & profitability analysis, financial planning processes, and in the development of corporate, management and performance reporting. This role requires an understanding of corporate finance, a keen interest in learning about the business, a strong analytical mindset and the ability to contribute to the process of making sound business decisions. You need a solid working knowledge of the income statement, cash flow statement and the balance sheet and how business decisions impact each one.
 
You will join a small, growing finance team and have access to senior leadership across multiple departments. Your work will be used by our executives to make strategic decisions that will have immediate impact on the company. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and hardworking while continuously developing their skills and knowledge.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide financial analysis to internal stakeholders on financial matters, identify optimization opportunities, and present recommendations to support profitability, growth, and other strategic objectives.
  • Support the development of product pricing quotations including decisions related to margin and profitability.
  • Prepare various financial analyses related to manufacturing costs for decision making support.
  • Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, and manufacturing methods to determine effects on costs.
  • Assist in the coordination, consolidation and reporting of the forecast, annual budget, and strategic plan.
  • Build, maintain, and automate complex and dynamic financial models to provide data driven, actionable insights.
  • Responsible for performing special projects, financial analysis, and scenario modeling in support of the Director of Finance.
  • Develop periodic financial presentations for senior management and the Board of Directors.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
  • CPA or MBA preferred
 
Work Experience:         
  • 4+ years’ experience in general accounting, cost accounting, or other relevant experience
  • Consumer products and/or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Strong financial background with exceptional analytical and modeling skills
Skills:
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task with ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to interpret and synthesize data and clearly communicate complex ideas
