Maintenance Supervisor

Position: Maintenance Supervisor
Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Raleigh (area), NC 

Position Purpose:
Responsible for providing support, guidance and leadership to the maintenance department to fully support Production, Quality and Safety.

Principle Responsibilities:
  • Assist with maintenance activities tied to production and the facility, including but not limited to insuring the facility’s safety and environmental work is current and compliant
  • Monitor personnel matters to include work schedules, vacations, and discipline
  • Provide guidance, training, and coaching to maintenance team
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Manager on equipment analysis to determine facility improvement needs
Daily/Periodic Tasks:
  • Monitor line operations, production line speeds, quality, and attending daily meetings
  • Maintain SOP’s to keep the facility ready for customer inspections and well as governmental inspections (AIB, EPA, etc.)
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
  • Review MP2 reports to ensure they are accurate and mechanics time is accounted for - Work with MP2 planner to assign work orders
       Associate Degree Preferred
       3 Years of Experience

Specific Experience Required:
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance procedures
  • Experience working with outside contractors a plus
  • Project management skills is a plus
  • Experience in Food Manufacturing Preferred
Basic Skills:
  • Above average communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey and follow instructions
  • Ability to effectively multi-task, manage time, set schedules, prioritize assignments and maintain accountability.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
  • MS Office.  Proficient use of computer programs and software; PLC programming would be a plus
