Candidate will assume a role in the overall assignment of a product category from including product development to merchandising, the planning of activities and programs to expand product distribution and usage. The Category Manager will also provide multi-faceted support required by the field Sales and Key Account Managers in an effort to build meaningful customer sales plans. This support includes data analytics, forecast and track category sale volume market shares and projections in Texas and surrounding states on Brand and Category, Category Management projects, and Plan-O-Gram space initiatives. Candidates will assist in development and manage execution of promotional activities to grow brand profit and share within budget guidelines. Analyze interpret and disseminate business results to measure the results of brand strategies. Candidates must ensure new and special ways to direct an assortment of products to consumers through innovations of new and existing product lines, promotions, etc. and enhancing purchasing occasions.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent to a four-year college or technical school plus 5 years of related experience and/or training. Bilingual (English/Spanish). Proficiency in Nielsen and analytical tools. Experience in consumer retail package goods in grocery retail, merchandising/trade marketing and strong project management skills. Salary will commensurate with experience.
